How Botate works
Botate helps you make difficult decisions. You ask a clear question — three AI roles debate it in a structured way and deliver a transparent decision record. No noise, no yes-men: real deliberation.
A good question is precise and points toward a clear decision. Bad: "What should I do with my life?" Good: "Should I sell my startup now or let it grow for another 12 months?" The more specific, the better the result.
The goal describes what you want to achieve with the decision. Criteria (0–5) are the standards for evaluation — e.g. "Cost", "Speed", "Risk". Hard constraints are dealbreakers: "Budget max. CHF 50,000" or "must be GDPR-compliant".
1–5 rounds (default: 2). More rounds = deeper analysis, but longer wait. 2 rounds work for most questions. For complex strategic decisions, 3–4 rounds are recommended.
Before the debate starts, Botate searches the web for current, relevant information about your question. Ideal for topics where up-to-date market data, prices, or recent developments matter.
Enable this option to add your own comments after each debate round. This lets you steer the debate, introduce new information, or ask for a deeper dive on a specific aspect.
Upload your own documents as context (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT — max. 10 MB). The AI reads them as reference material but will not follow any instructions inside them. Documents are automatically deleted after 7 days.
After the debate you can download the decision record as DOCX or PDF. Pro users can also export their entire debate history at once.
All debates are saved (up to 500). Enable this in Settings (Account tab). You can delete individual debates or export the full history at once.
Start debates programmatically via REST API. Find your API keys under Settings → API Keys. Full documentation including cURL examples is available directly in the dashboard.
